Course Description
This course provides an in-depth look at the discrete trial procedure and seeks to strengthen the participant’s skills in running discrete trial sessions. It will begin with a brief introduction as well as a review of basic concepts. Participants will then commence to an instructional break down of the key components and steps of discrete trial training. Here they will focus on each factor individually with supplemental video footage and emphasis on the theoretical components underlying implementation protocols.
Recent research findings in DTT will be present, along with an evaluation of the the speed of acquisition of receptive language skills through the use of response marking and a conditioned cue valued in children with autism.d. A learning activity and summation of important points from the lesson will be provided. Eligible for One Type II BACB CE under Ethics and Professional Issues with successful completion.
