Course Description

This completely online course is designed for behavior analysts, mental health professionals, and special educators. Prior to taking this course, participants should have a strong background in conducting functional behavior assessments and/or should have taken the course entitled Conducting Functional Behavior Assessments. This course will provide participants with an understanding of the components of a behavior intervention plan and opportunities to apply their knowledge by creating a behavior intervention plan for an individual they are currently supporting. Participants will learn how to make environmental modifications and changes to adult/peer behavior to minimize the occurrence of target behaviors, how to develop behavioral objectives that serve as replacement behaviors for the target behavior and/or teach new skills, how to align effective teaching strategies with the behavioral objectives, and how to monitor progress and evaluate the behavior intervention plan. Examples are provided throughout the course and links to helpful websites are provided to enhance the learning of the participants.  Eligible for Three Type II CE for Behavior Analyst Certification Board.
